About

Community Leader

Garrad Marsh has been there for Modesto. As our city councilman, he built a reputation for integrity and fiscal responsibility while working to bring people together. In the community, Garrad and his wife Dallas have been at the forefront of helping to make our city stronger through their support and work on behalf of dozens of charities and community organizations.

Successful Small Businessman

In today’s difficult economy, we need a leader who has not only signed the back of a paycheck, but the front of it as well. As the owner of McHenry Bowl, Garrad Marsh currently employs 55 residents and generates many more local jobs from suppliers.

With an MBA degree in Finance from the University of California Berkeley, Garrad has an eye for the bottom line that we need in these tough budget times. As Mayor, Garrad will continue his focus on fiscal discipline. He will bring the vision we need to create the jobs of the future while protecting our agricultural economy.

Veteran

Garrad enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era.  He served for nearly 7 years, most of those years aboard a nuclear ballistic missile submarine. He was an Electronic Technician First Class qualified on Submarines.  Garrad was based in Virginia, Connecticut, Hawaii, Guam, and Scotland.  He has been a member of the American Legion for over 20 years and is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Garrad continues to support veterans and our military.
